Rush Golf Course: A Hidden Gem Among Ireland's Legendary Links Territory
The links of Rush Golf Course is located in the middle of some of the most famous and best links territory in the entire golfing world, let alone Ireland.
Although it was built as a 9 golf course it’s played as 18 with 2 tee boxes on each hole with different distances and different angles to the hole. For most of the holes the distance and angles means the second tee box on the hole presents a new challenge.
Ivan Morris, in his book ‘Ireland’s Best 9-Hole Golf Courses’ described Rush Golf Club as one of the Top Three 9-Hole Links in Ireland. He also rated the 5th hole as ‘well worth the time and effort of crisscrossing the Country to play, describing it as ‘having a feel of Royal Lytham & St. Anne’s about it’.
Our course was voted as the best 9 hole course in Leinster in 2022.
We have a clubhouse complementing the natural contours of the course, the bar and restaurant offer a friendly and comfortable setting with views of the 1st and 9th holes. Rush is one of the few clubs that has been fortunate enough to keep its old world charm; and as a links, it is playable all year round.
